Subject: Midland Red (North) 94 (D94 CFA) on hire to National Welsh Chassis: Ford Transit VE6 Body: Dormobile B16F Location: Pontypridd bus station Date: 3-Dec-1986
An interesting vehicle and a little more stylish than most minibuses, helped by a good livery application, 94 was on loan to National Welsh before it had been used by its owner, from 18-Nov-1986 to 11-Jan-1987.
On its return it became part of a new and short-lived minibus operation in Walsall before transfer to Stafford where it was destroyed in a major depot fire there on 2-Feb-1992.
The Ynysybwl service seemed to benefit (in terms of variety) from National Welsh's intention to buy large numbers of minibuses meaning that many different examples were tried on this early Bustler service. 94 here was one of two of the type loaned, the other being 89 (D89 CFA). They were both replaced by two Sherpas from Crosville seen elsewhere in this gallery.
