An ABC cinema listing from the Evening Chronicle of 3-Mar-1969. This was the film based on the television series and took the character of Alf Garnett, played by Warren Mitchell, from the war years to the time of the film.

The accompanying film has gained in interest over the years and would certainly now be seen as the better film. It’s a documentary about the backwaters of London filmed in 1967 and narrated by James Mason. If you are nostalgic for the old British way of life it is well worth seeing.
