This excellent view shows an early West Street still surfaced with granite setts. The C will not have been using this stop very long, just since the extension to Strinesdale in 1950. The rear-end detail of Crossley-bodied Daimler shows a feature rarely captured on camera, which is the 6" high rear fleet numbers originally carried until they were moved to the band above the lower deck windows (and reduced in size) to free the space for advertising.
