3127 was one of the Olympians initially painted in Express colours for operation on the 400 Trans-Lancs Express. They were soon replaced by new vehicles and ran in Oldham for just a few months in Express colours before being repainted in normal fleet livery. On 1st February 1987 it is working a Sunday journey, which only went as far as Oldham at that time.
