The timings of the 184 and the 429 did not give an even service between Uppermill and Oldham, but the buses didn't often get as close together as they are here on 8th February 1991! 3123 is headed for Chorlton Street and 8308 behind is going to Limeside. The location is at the top of Oaklands Road; there used to be a toll house right on this junction but this diappeared in the very early days of motor transport.
