The terminus at Normanby was similar in layout to the one at North Ormesby as in both cases the trolleybuses turned within a T-junction, in this case with High Street.
This is almost certainly a formal opening ceremony prior to services commencing on 8-Nov-1919 and is clearly an event generating a lot of local interest.
The posters on the right relate to the railwaymen's strike of 1919, in protest at plans to reduce wages. It lasted from midnight on 26th/27th September to 5th October, ending with agreement to postpone the change for a year. It is unfortunate that the posters are not legible and it is therefore not possible to even see which side of the argument they are presenting.
