Whilst I prefer shots of buses at work in their normal surroundings, manufacturer's photographs have a useful place too.
They are usually of a high technical quality, allowing close scrutiny of many details and of course they show the vehicle in the best possible condition.
In the case of older vehicles, they are often the only clear record that there is of their existence.
