The lower saloon of 52. When comparing this with almost-contemporary motor bus 30 seen in a very similar view here the different staircase can be noted, the motorbus having an almost straight staircase the bottom of which is much further inside the edge of the platform. It also led to a shorter last window on the offside downstairs and a bench seat for only two.

It's not immediately obvious why the two should be different, even taking into account their different methods of propulsion.
