These two vehicles in Centenary livery took part in the formal Golden Jubilee celebrations on 21st June 1961. Three days later, celebrating the date of the start of the public service they ran a tour of the system open to the public, accompanied by ex-Darlington 787 visible in the background. All three are paused here in the loop at Dudley Hill.
