The seemingly-ordinary Leyland Leopard with Plaxton Supreme body has a more complex ancestry than might be suspected. The chassis was new to Midland Red as their 5812 (CHA 112C) with a Duple (Northern) body. It was rebuilt, re-registered and received a new body in 1978. It is probably going to be used to provide extra capacity on Yelloway’s Blackpool service, but there is no destination sticker in the window to confirm that.
