This Leyland Atlantean was stored off Coronation Street. It had originally been Glasgow LA136 and was one of the last batch of vehicles in second of the two dedicated registration series used by Glasgow C. T. The first was FYS and the second SGD series wasn’t fully used, the highest issue being SGD 740 on a similar Atlantean.
This bus was only recorded in this role for a year, from May-1976 to May-1977. It is relatively easy to locate the shot today from the footbridge over Oldham Way at the right of the picture.
