Cardiff 237 (TG 391) Custom House Bridge R Marshall
Subject: Cardiff C. T. 237 (TG 391) Chassis: English Electric SD6WTB Body: English Electric B32C Location: Cardiff, Custom House Bridge Date: c.1948
When sold to Cardiff, trolleybus 7 received a plain grey livery along with several others of the batch. It is seen here waiting to depart for Pier Head at the original terminus of that route. At this stage Cardiff’s “Pay as you enter” scheme with a seated conductor was in full swing and 7 would have been so fitted.
Passing in the background is one of Western Welsh’s huge batch of ECW-bodied Leyland Tiger PS1s.
