In North Western days buses used to turn round at one end or the other of the bridge over the railway at Diggle station. In both cases it involved doing a three-point turn in the junction. The choice of which to use seemed to depend on the driver. A new turning circle was opened around 1972 on the site of the old goods yard and is still in use today. 224 stands at the bus stop ready to depart.
