Seen one day in August 1966 is North Western 714, which has turned round at Diggle station (still open then) but the driver has yet to reset the blind. These Albion Aberdonians were a small batch of six which spent nearly all their short life in Oldham and as a result were the mainstay of Saddleworth local services.

North Western had a lot of similar Leyland Tiger Cubs but these were rarely seen in Oldham and I always considered them noisy by comparison, although the Albions had a few of their own distinctive noises and vibrations!
