A symbolic photograph after a fashion, as the last open-platform bus goes off into the distance. Fortunately 5891 is still with us in preservation but it was not to survive in Oldham much after this photograph was taken on 23rd September 1977, as it returned to Stockport by the following Spring. They mustn't have trusted Oldham to look after it!
