40 makes an interesting contrast with Swindon 51 at the Cardiff Rally that commemorated 100 years of municipal transport. 51 is a completely original utility bus, a Guy Arab I with Weymann body.

40 had been considerably rebuilt by Pontypridd, as were most of the fleet’s utilities.
