39 poses at the Preston factory. Colour photography would have made little difference to the image as Durban's colour scheme was an unusual grey with cream bands edged in black.

From this view it is just possible to make out that, despite the dual-door configuration, there was no front staircase.

One feature of Durban trolleybuses visible in this view is the dark Purdah glass in the upper part of each saloon window to protect against the sun.

The bodies on this batch did not prove particularly robust and all were withdrawn in 1949/50.
