The Royal Tiger Doyen was considered a premium vehicle at the time and had an impressive front badge to match the image. It was unusual to find one on stage-carriage work but Merthyr Tydfil Transport used theirs on this occasion at least.

The Tiger 2000 coaching unit was set up in 1987 with five coaches but although it initially did quite well business tailed off and the coaches ended up filling in time on service, like this.
