This collection is the principal objective of the whole Pontypridd/Taff-Ely gallery, to show the buses doing what they were built to do - carry passengers. The ultimate aim is to include a history of each service but there is a lot more research work to do on that subject yet. The histories are fairly sketchy at the moment, although some are better documented than others, and some assumptions are involved at this stage. PLEASE THEREFORE BE AWARE THEY MAY CONTAIN ERRORS and corrections will be gratefully received.
Although the original concept was to treat each route separately, it became clear with the way the route network evolved and the way cross-town connections varied over the years that a clearer story would be obtained by treating each route out of the town separately and that is what is done.
The routes start with the Porth service and are then arranged in clockwise order radiating from Pontypridd.
