Two Guy Arabs, 31 and 34, were rebuilt quite early with new window pans which improved their appearance, looking quite elegant. This probably proved an expensive way to do the work and rubber-mounted windows were adopted for future rebuilds.

34 was to be rebuilt again in April 1963 with rubber-mounted windows, losing the waistrail moulding in the process as well.
