Subject: Leicester C. T. 1? Maker: Electric Railway and Tramway Carriage Works, Preston Truck: Brill 21E Seating: 34/22 Location: Preston, Dick, Kerr works Date: c.1903
As with photo 126, this one differs from its sister photograph 118 in that the quarterlights are open. What is more obvious, though, is that the design then allowed air to flow through the series of circular holes in the woodwork above. It is more obvious in this pair of views because the open quarterlight means that the circular holes appear light rather than dark as the opened quarterlight has allowed light to reach the rear of the panel beyond the woodwork.
