5 AAX was originally Red & White L560, one of twenty of these unusual FL6Gs. Just eight survived into the National Welsh era with the last going in 1980. L560 was withdrawn in 1978 and converted to training bus T2 as seen here, receiving the yellow livery which had become standard for ancillary vehicles.
It was not based permanently at Porth and although it may have just called in, it is more probable it was carrying out training of local staff.
