As a towing bus E1077 has clearly had a hard life and is seen here in National Welsh's final years at Cwmbran depot.
It had finished as a service bus with the number U1280 and in this guise was loaned briefly to South Wales in 1983.
It survived into Stagecoach days following the sale of the Cwmbran operations and lasted long enough to still be part of the fleet when Rhondda Buses was taken over so it could be said to have rejoined Rhondda, although to my knowledge it remained at Cwmbran, numbered RW2.
