Subject: Rhondda Buses 629 (WUH 162T) Chassis: Leyland National 11351A/1R Body: Leyland National B49F Location: Treorchy, High Street Date: c.Aug-1993
629 is at the stop outside the Prince of Wales pub in the centre of Treorchy. The pub has managed to keep going to date.
The road was widened here in 1928 for the National Eisteddfod, this involved removing the small gardens in front of all the properties visible here, with the exception of the pub.
The bus stop used to be further back (and the bus here has had to pull in beyond the current location), in a position more suitable for the rear entrance buses used at the time.
