Stagecoach's takeover of Glossopdale resulted in them operating the 343 in the evenings. The contrast in the vehicles used could not have been more marked as Glossopdale used minibuses (see the earlier picture in Underlane) whereas Stagecoach provided what can only be termed excess capacity in the form of this 87-seat Olympian. Going out with the camera on the longest day (June 21st) of 1999 permitted this evening shot of 749 passing the White Hart at Lydgate on a diversion.
