After withdrawal from service 5343 was used for training on the skid pan at the former Manchester garage at Hyde Road. It seems to have lost its grille, something which led to the confusion arising from the next photograph. To the right is former Manchester PD2 3670, one of several converted to permanent training buses and in this case numbered TV24.
