403 became SELNEC 5303 and then, in an unusual sale, passed to Manchester Corporation Direct Works Department as their 45/025. I am not clear whether it was a running vehicle or just as a store. The Department used to operate a fleet of buses for worker transport, painted in a dark blue colour, which this bus clearly has not received.
