2329 became U1571 and finally U1278 before withdrawal. After quite some time in storage National Welsh decided to convert it (and several other Leopards) to towing buses, largely to replace some former Red & White Bristol MW6Gs that had been converted earlier.

On conversion it received this yellow livery and was numbered E1074. Here can be seen the neatly-modified rear end of this alteration, just after completion.
