U2168 had moved to Abergavenny by 1978 and stayed there until withdrawal a few months after this photo. It was later exported to Eire but I have no further information on its fate.

It is on the scenic route along the Usk valley to Brecon and carries the Beaconsedge local identifier for the MAP introduced there the previous month, the first within National Welsh. The RE coach in the background also carries these plates, used for some time in Abergavenny instead of the stickers found elsewhere.
