Subject: Western Welsh 2372 (XTG 372)
Chassis: Leyland Tiger Cub PSUC1/1
Body: Weymann B44F
Location: Brecon, Brynawelon
Date: c.Jul-1974

This is a most unusual location for a bus new to Rhondda to be operating whilst still in the ownership of Western Welsh. 372 is now Western Welsh 2372 and working from Brecon garage.

It is difficult to be sure quite what it is doing here as the blind display is clearly incorrect (and the correct destination would not be on the blind of this imported vehicle). It is working a morning journey and almost certainly taking the schoolchildren into Brecon.

Although timetables are far from explicit on the matter, I believe journeys on the 142 Abergavenny to Brecon would leave the main road and come up here before turning round to continue their journey, this stop serving the military housing adjacent to the the Dering Lines Barracks and Battle School.
