The fleet number is not visible in the photograph but it was renumbered from 2376 to U5459 in August 1974, having originally been Rhondda 376.
It is recorded as being transferred to Barry and still has a Barry destination blind here, with "Dinas Powis" and "Ranks Mills" visible as destinations either side of "Private". It is not clear why it was in Tredegar depot. It was withdrawn later that year.
