Subject: National Welsh HR6171 (BTG 517J) and HR5771 (BTG 513J) Chassis: Leyland Atlantean PDR1A/1 Body: Alexander H42/31F Location: Chepstow, Bulwark depot Date: c.1982
Old Porth depot colleagues find themselves together again at Bulwark workshops. HR5771 certainly continued in service after this photograph was taken but is without an engine here. It's quite possible that HR6171 had come from Porth as an engine donor; it still carries the New Rhondda local identifier and was withdrawn in 1982 whilst HR5771 lasted until 1984.
