By 1974 a steady stream of former Rhondda vehicles seem to have spent time at Brecon depot and what had been 2385 in the Western Welsh fleet was one of these. It had received its new number U1461 whilst allocated there.

The display is for the 731 to Trecastle. There was just a single journey Mondays to Saturdays to Trecastle (with two journeys from Trecastle to Brecon). It was a short working of the Llandovery service which itself only managed two through trips, on Wednesdays and Fridays only.
