Subject: Bradford C. T. 798 (BDJ 86)
Chassis: BUT 9611T
Body: East Lancs H35/28R
Location: Saltaire depot
Date: 15-Aug-1965

A loop of wiring had been retained in Saltaire depot after its closure as a trolleybus depot, allowing buses on the 40 service to lay over here if required. 798 took advantage of that on the tour, a break being more welcome as the tour seems to have planned to incorporate the longest possible through run on the network to get here. Starting at Hall Ings it went to Dudley Hill then through Laisterdyke, Bolton and Thackley to get to Saltaire, a run of about nine miles.

I think the people just inside the depot are dealing through a small enquiries window and probably buying timetables and the like.
