Subject: Bradford C. T. 795 (BDJ 83) Chassis: BUT 9611T Body: East Lancs H35/28R Location: Bolton, Idle Road Date: 26-Jun-1971
Only four more days remain for trolleybuses on Bolton Road, from which 795 is turning to return to Thornbury depot under what was almost certainly the most complex trolleybus junction remaining in the country. With the end of the Shipley and Greengates services also came the end of rear-entrance trolleybus operation which included this and 799, the two remaining ex-St. Helens trolleybuses.
Another doomed rear-entrance trolleybus is just visible behind heading towards Saltaire or Greengates and will be one of 717, 719, 722 or 723.
From an original negative in the David Beilby collection, from the collection of D. Butterfield and G. Butland
