Subject: Merthyr Tydfil C. T. 145 (CHB 410D) Chassis: Leyland Titan PD3/4 Body: East Lancs H41/32F Location: Cardiff bus station Date: Jun-1968
145 is another of the final batch seen in original condition in Cardiff. It differs from most of the rest of the batch in having a small mirror for the driver to view the doors - 146 seems to have been the only other one with this feature.
After just ten years' service 145 was withdrawn, a victim of the move to one-man operation. It was sold to Park's of Hamilton for whom it ran a couple of years longer but was scrapped in 1979.
In the background is one of Western Welsh's dual-purpose Tiger Cubs in the ivory and blue livery.
