5315 is seen on Lodge Lane in Delph on one of the peak hour 183 workings which served Delph and Carrcote. At the time (15th May 1998) it was not the normal route although it would become so following the 2001 service revision. 5315 had been refurbished lately to the then latest standards including high-visiblity handrails, visible through the windscreen, to aid the partially-sighted. As a consequence it received the orange livery with yellow (instead of blue) stripes, the only one of the type to do so.
