Subject: Chesterfield C.T. 1 (RA 1810)
Chassis: Straker-Clough
Body: Reeve and Kenning B32C
Location: Pilsley, Reeve & Kenning's works
Date: 1927

I have located these photographs at the Reeve and Kenning's works as they are not at any of the Chesterfield depots (tram or bus), one view shows a contemporary Bristol B type which also had a Reeve and Kenning body, and they were taken by a local photographer, H. J. Morgan of 7 Cavendish Street, Chesterfield.

This was the first of a batch of fourteen trolleybuses that opened the Chesterfield trolleybus system on 19-May-1927. They were numbered, superstitiously, 1-12 and 14-16 and registered RA 1810-17/19-24.

Photograph from the GEC archive, taken H J Morgan of Chesterfield
