1977 was Silver Jubilee year and on 23rd September the decorations are still to be seen in Dobcross square as former Oldham Atlantean 5125 (CBU 125C) passes through on its way back to Oldham. At the time it was a complete surprise to me to see any double-decker on this service and a new place to see an ex-Oldham bus. It was a Friday and I started a new job the following Monday and my journey home involved me travelling on the outbound journey of this trip to Diggle and I came to realise that it was a regular double-deck working, but only on a Friday.
