Subject: Bradford C. T. 842 (FWX 912) Chassis: Sunbeam F4 Body: East Lancs H37/29F Location: Thornton, Thornton Road Date: 23-Oct-1971
842 passes the Thornton Conservative Club on the right. On the left is Kipping Lane leading up to Market Street. This was the original route through the village until Thornton Road was built in 1826.
With the diversion of traffic Market Street has retained its original character and is most widely-known as the birthplace of the Brontë sisters.
Unusually, the pedestrian crossing behind 842 has since been removed.
