Subject: Ashton C.T. 11 (ATJ 892) Chassis: Crossley Mancunian Body: English Electric H30/24R Location: Preston, Abingdon Drive Year: 1936
A rear view of 11 showing the rather upright rear styling of the English Electric body at that time. The blue and white livery had red waistbands added the previous year, prompted by the Silver Jubilee of King George V. These red bands do not show up very clearly on the non-panchromatic film of the day.
The two members of the batch photographed at Preston were the last survivors, with both 11 and 24 being withdrawn in Jun-1950.
