Subject: Oldham C. T. 402 (NBU 502)
Chassis: Leyland Titan PD2/20
Body: Roe H33/27R
Location: Oldham, King Street
Date: c.1969

402 was one of the first to carry the pommard livery, being repainted from its experimental blue livery. The Atlantean behind is also not carrying its original livery as it is one of the 1965 batch that were new in crimson and white.

The works behind is the Atlas Works of Dronsfield Brothers, who made their fortunes making patented card-grinding machines for the cotton industry. Their fate was also closely linked to the cotton industry and the company closed in 1981.
