148 negotiates the roundabout. The unusual vantage point gives a good view of Chaucer Street on the right. This was the terminus of Oldham’s short-lived trolleybus service and also more recently the C bus to Middleton Junction.

The car on the left not only shares the same registration series as the bus, but is also only four removed from the first of Oldham’s Panther Cubs (LBU 117E).
