Canal bridge restoration is yet to start as 3225 swings round the corner of Chew Valley Road on 25th August 1990 to attack the hill up past the station. 3225 was the last bus (as opposed to coach) seated vehicle in Express livery, having been (I believe) one of the original batch repainted for working the Trans-Lancs Express. The others were soon restored to normal livery. 3225 survived in this livery some years longer and has displayed a continuing survival instinct, latterly as First 31064, as it is now preserved by the SELNEC Preservation Society.
