PND.49-530

Subject: Notts & Derby 352 (NNU 233)
Chassis: BUT 9611T
Body: Weymann H30/26R
Location: Heanor, Market Street
Date: 1949

This is another view in Red Lion Square, with 352 having come down Market Street heading towards Ripley. Note the characteristic stop used by both Midland General and Notts & Derby (which were associated companies).

Across the road is the Empire Theatre which opened as a theatre in 1911 and graually moved over to films. It finally shut in 1983 and was demolished six years later, with the name living on in the block of flats subsequently built on the site called Empire Court.

352 would become Bradford 769 in 1953, remaining in service there until the end of October 1963.
