Subject: Pontypridd U.D.C. ? Chassis: English Electric SD6WTB Body: English Electric B32C Location: Glyntaff depot Date: 18-Sep-1930
The second of the two inaugural trolleybuses, neither of which can be identified, with part of the official party.
It can be seen that the rear destination display shows “Six Wheel Brakes”, a message whose purpose is now lost. However, these trolleybuses were delivered only with painted rear registration numbers which were not illuminated. The M. o. T. insisted that the plate should be illuminated so for speed of conversion the rear destination display was used to display the registration for the remainder of their time in Pontypridd, although oddly it was restored when they ran in Cardiff.
