This 1980 view inside Bergisel depot captures an era that was ending in many ways. The depot itself was to close the following year, replaced by a new facility nearby at Wilten.

Hall tram 2 on the right is coming to the end of its 45-year tenure on the Igls line. It was withdrawn from normal service the following year but retained and is still with IVB today.

85 on the left is in the condition in which it was acquired from Hagen. It was to remain in use mainly on the 1 as seen here until it was given a centre section from a Bielefeld car in 1983, after which it became a stalwart of the Stubaitalbahn.
