89 and 90 were the first Longwell Green bodies for Pontypridd and it would seem that they didn’t build any more bus bodies after these until the last two, also for Pontypridd, were built in 1966. These Reliances were on paper identical to a pair for Gelligaer delivered at about the same time but there were quite a few differences in the specification. The Pontypridd ones had hopper ventilators and featured aluminium trim mouldings. More obvious from the rear was the offside emergency door instead of in the centre at the rear as on the Gelligaer vehicles (and also similar bodies for Aberdare).
