Vehicle: Oldham 119 (LBU 119E)
Location: Tandle Hill Road, Royton
Date: May-1967

The outward-opening centre doors which were unique to this batch in Oldham and, to my knowledge, the rest of the country too. I believe special MoT dispensation was required as they made the vehicle beyond the maximum permitted width, albeit only when stationary.

The idea of this type of door was to maximise the door width to speed alighting - normal doors fold into the doorway and take up space, leading to a restriction.
