This distant shot gives an unusual view of Uppermill square, with Atlantean 8202 waiting to work to Oldham via Scouthead as a 183, despite the blind display. This Sunday shot from February 1984 pre-dates the boom in tourism and the square is deserted. The Galleon restaurant on the right was long a feature of Uppermill.
